So Say We All is set in a fictional timeline where humanity has expanded across the stars, unified under the banner of the Republic of Earth and Her Colonies. The game follows a fleet of ships containing several thousand people that has escaped a vicious attack against a civilian planet, committed by a mysterious faction called the Ashiva. Little is known about them, but there are rumours that several high-ranking crew members across the fleet have been replaced with Ashiva infiltrators who are working in secret to sabotage the fleet and bring the last remnants of humanity to their end.

Players will take on the roles of the senior crewmembers of the various ships in the fleet fleeing the destruction of their home. Players will need to manage the Fleet’s limited resources, deal with emergency situations and fight to protect themselves against attacks by the mysterious and ever-pursuing Ashiva.

Some players may even be Ashiva infiltrators sent to spy on the fleet and sabotage vital resources. Infiltrators will act like regular crew members, but can use special resources to sabotage ships in the fleet, share information with their Ashiva handlers, and whatever other nefarious deeds they choose to hinder the human fleet.

Note: there will be no player team for the Ashiva fleet in this game.

Ships of the Fleet

There are four types of ships that make up the fleet: Military, Refinery, Plantation, and Civilian. They each contribute to the survival of the fleet in their own way.

Military

Prosecutor

The R.E.C. Prosecutor is the sole military vessel in the Fleet, and as such, it is the only thing standing between the civilian ships and the Ashiva. Armed with powerful guns along with a complement of fighter craft, the Prosecutor is a formidable opponent, despite its age.

Along with the four regular player roles, the Prosecutor also has an Executive Officer.

Refinery

Stellar Horizons
Harry Stamper
Stellar Horizons

Newly manufactured in the latest line of Starpiercer mining vessels, the Stellar Horizons is one of the flagships of the Apotheosis MegaCorp’s Raw Resource Acquisition Division.

As part of one of the largest incorporated entities in the local cluster, Stellar Horizons is comfortable with a range of government-awarded privileges and rights. That is, until the Ashiva blasted the local Apotheosis HQ into pieces.

The Harry Stamper

With the decommissioning and subsequent selling of the Sunbeam line of the mining vessels by Apotheosis MegaCorp, a small start-up, MeteOre, bought and refurbished the newly christened Harry Stamper. Now a fuel processing vessel, the Harry Stamper manages to compete with the corporate efficiency of the MegaCorps through hard work, long hours and a more laid-back approach to safety.

Plantation

Hanging Gardens
Blue Cradle
Hanging Gardens

The Hanging Gardens served the Frontier Colonies for decades. It played a vital role in the settlement of countless planets, providing food and water for the colonists.

After being retired eight years earlier, it was finally time to undergo a massive overhaul and become an orbital museum, but when the Ashiva attack came, the Hanging Gardens managed to escape with most of her greenhouse domes intact.

Blue Cradle

A charity plantation vessel, the Blue Cradle was used to provide food and water to disaster-stricken star systems.

After narrowly escaping the Ashiva attack, it is now one of the fleet’s few reliable food sources, with its crew dedicated to ensuring that no one else dies from the ongoing conflict.

Civilian

Rongyao
Xandarg
Rongyao

A luxurious space liner catering to the wealthy, the Rongyao was used for high-class space travel before the Ashiva attack. Despite the dire situation, its crew continues to offer the same level of hospitality to maintain influence over the elite individuals now part of the fleet.

Xandarg

The Xandarg was once part of a grand colony fleet, meant to transport settlers to a new star system. However, after the Ashiva attack destroyed the rest of the fleet, the Xandarg became the sole survivor, carrying only passengers and crew—and no vital colonization equipment.

Constantine
Lucky Break
Constantine

Known as the Great Ship of Humanity, the Constantine was a spiritual vessel that provides religious guidance throughout the Colonies. As a beacon of hope and religious support for the people, the crew of the Constantine play an important role in what will surely be trying times.

Lucky Break

A publicly-funded research vessel, the Lucky Break was studying micro-organisms when the Ashiva attack occurred. Its isolated position allowed it to escape unscathed. As science is left to the wayside by a fleet struggling to survive, the cew must decide what their place will be in this new society.

Duke Escorial
Somerset
Duke Escorial

A budget space liner from the Duke fleet, the Duke Escorial offered affordable travel to anyone who could pay. Now, in the fleet’s difficult circumstances, its no-frills approach and efficient resource management have become vital in ensuring that all passengers have the necessary supplies to survive.

Somerset

A modest freighter used for transporting consumer goods, the Somerset was caught in the Ashiva attack and ended up helping evacuate survivors. It now plays a key role in reconnecting the scattered survivors and distributing resources within the fleet.

Player Roles

Captain

The Captain is responsible for directing the other players on the Ship and providing strategic direction for their team throughout the day.

Navigation Officer

The Navigation Officer (Nav) is responsible for performing faster-than-light (FTL) jumps during the game. As the Fleet moves around the galaxy, it will be up to the Navigation Officer to ensure that the Ship has adequate Fuel to complete the action and that the Ship is heading to the correct destination.

Communications Officer

The Communications Officer (Comms) is responsible for sending and receiving information between other ships in the Fleet and is the only player who may interact with the Battle Map. The Communications Officer will be responsible for controlling their Ship’s movements and the actions of their Interceptors during combat.

Crew Chief

The Crew Chief (Chief) is responsible for coordinating the allocation of their team’s Manpower, responding to Crisis events and overseeing repairs or upgrades to the Ship. They have the final decision when it comes to deciding where to commit their team’s valuable resources.

Executive Officer

The Executive Officer (XO) is the dedicated second-in-command for the Prosecutor. In the absence of their Captain, this player is empowered to make any decisions that can ordinarily be made only by a Captain. In addition, the XO may also interact with the Battle Map during combat.
