There are 3 major Earth-government entities present on Niwa.
While these geopolitical entities are similar to one another in composition (each contains 5 core senior executives - players), each has its own goals and motivations for working as part of the Niwa colony.

Global Interoperability Council
Remnants of the EU, USA and other industrialised NATO states.
Innova et Vigeat
The GIC nations, remnants of the EU, USA, and NATO affiliates, aim to revitalise their economies through Niwa colonisation. They seek resources for their origin nations back on Earth, to reclaim global leadership and, arguably most importantly, revitalise and preserve the rites of capitalism and free markets.
The League
A loose collaboration between African and Middle-Eastern Arabic nations.
NURTURING PROSPERITY
The League, a collaboration between African and Middle-Eastern nations, arose from recognition of regional instability. Investment of oil profits into social infrastructure led to population growth, making these nations major grain and fertiliser importers. Their energy resources, crucial for the Mandjet Project, secured them influence in the Colony's ruling Assembly and favourable cargo space allocation.
Shanghai Cooperation Organisation
An unlikely alliance between China and Russia originally set up to counterbalance NATO.
PROGRESS, TOGETHER
Amidst competition for resources, China and Russia revived the historic cooperation between their nations, realising collective action is vital in order to capitalise on Niwa's bounty. East Asia's smaller economies, dependent on the markets of their larger neighbours, quickly fell in line. As one of the largest supernational groups on Earth, their major concern is resource scarcity.
Government Roles
Each of the 3 government entities on Niwa is comprised of 5 senior officers who have been made responsible for the operational, political and economic success of their respective nations' mission on Niwa.
These positions include:

Leader (President / Premier)
Ultimately responsible for the success of their executive team in all aspects of Colony-building and business on Niwa. This role is for you if... you are good at coordinating other people to work as a team and performing high-level negotiations with other leaders.

Operations Director
Complete control of mobile assets on Niwa, are responsible for exploring the wilds, securing strategic resources, and keeping the colony safe.
This role is for you if... you enjoy 'units on a map' style board games and tabletop negotations.

Development Manager
Responsible for Research, Development, and Construction of corporate assets on Niwa.
This role is for you if... you enjoy working cooperatively with other teams while ensuring your corporation comes out ahead.

Trade Representative
The corporations prime negotiator for goods and resources. They will find themselves dealing with other corporations as well as representatives of Earth nations on Niwa.
This role is for you if... you enjoy the art of the deal.

Assembly Member
You represent your faction in political negotiations with the Assembly and the Council. This role is for you if... you enjoy dealing with crises, voting on new laws and negotiating with other members.
